December 14, 2012 – Inbound – #trainspotting#Chicago

Good morning, on the contractually obligated 7:30AM into the City. The NFI is 4. There is a vaguely Kate Winslet looking woman sitting near the back of the car who is applying base or some cream to her face. What is striking about this behavior is not the incidence, but the aggressiveness by which she is going about her business. She looks like she’s exfoliating and covering all at once! She must have been taught how to do make up by an Eastern Bloc nanny or something.

Right in front of me is an girl-next-door attractive early thirty-something woman. She has straight brown hair, shoulder length that is parted on her center-right. She wears rectangular framed glasses that give a horizontal dimension to a long angular face. She isn’t wearing any heavy makeup.

Her parka is sipped up to the top which covers her neck and part of her chin, but not her mouth. She recognized me, as we were both sitting in the same places as yesterday. She smiled at me in recognition. How nice! Its the little things that keep us connected.

I may have mentioned a fellow that reminds me of George C. Scott in Dr. Strangelove. This gentleman has a short cropped receding hairline and would not look out of place in Uniform (probably Army). Col. Klink is reading Mario Puzo’s ‘The Godfather’.

He is the most practically dressed for the weather, wearing a windbreaker over a thick but nondescript button-down shirt, which is over a white t-shirt. Jeans and comfortable shoes complete this appropriate ensemble.

Also here are Gen. Wesley Clark, Sleeping Beauty (wayyyy back), my good friend Anil Kapoor of Slumdog fame, and that Texas Congressman that got kicked out of the Bush Jr. set for being too greedy…Tom Delay. He’s here. Finally, Elizabeth Warren, incoming junior Senator from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is here.

Anyway, Happy Friday. Safe Travels.
